Recognizing the benefits of sharing experiences and expertise, various individuals and groups working with indigenous peoples and NTFPs in South and Southeast Asia came together as an informal network. Exchange of ideas, the problems and success that emerged through their work, gradually led to the formation of the NTFP-Exchange Programme South and Southeast Asia, known as NTFP-EP, in 2003.

It is a flora database of the Nilgiris. The data comes from a book published by Keystone Foundation. It is full of custom fields, thanks to custom field template, a Wordpress plugin. Pomme, the volunteer who tested and spent quite a bit of time with the database helped in adding more features and fine tuning the site.

I launched this site in 2005. It was based in ASP (the server side language of Microsoft). Later I switched into PHP. This year I put all my headaches onto Wordpress. And the blue and grey theme is inspired by Anu, my best half.
